Your mission

karpatkey is seeking dedicated full-time contributors to join our Treasury Nodes. In this role, you will assist DAOs in safeguarding their capital via non-custodial active treasury management and enhance their financial health by spearheading initiatives aimed at realising their long-term objectives.

As a DeFi Analyst, your role will be critical in navigating the dynamic and complex landscape of decentralised finance. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis to uncover valuable insights into the ever-changing DeFi sector. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping our strategic decisions, optimising our DeFi investment strategies, and fostering innovation across our organisation.

Responsibilities

Data Analytics:

• Analyse market data, liquidity trends, and token performance to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards on Dune Analytics for internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Operations & Assurance:

• Support the technical team in managing critical tools like the Zodiac Roles Modifier.
• Participate in auditing processes and streamline documentation for operational efficiency.

Market Research:

• Research DeFi projects, protocols, and trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Stay updated on DeFi developments and protocol functionalities.

Portfolio Management:

• Evaluate DeFi assets for suitability in our investment portfolio.
• Monitor asset performance and suggest adjustments based on market conditions.

Risk Assessment:

• Identify and assess risks in DeFi protocols and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
• Safeguard the integrity and security of our DeFi investments.

Strategic Insights:

• Deliver strategic insights and recommendations based on comprehensive DeFi analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a well-informed DeFi strategy.

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare and present reports and presentations to internal stakeholders.
• Actively participate in discussions and events to showcase our DeFi expertise.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in blockchain technology or finance are a plus;
• Proven experience analysing and researching DeFi protocols, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency markets;
• Strong understanding of tokenomics, smart contracts, and blockchain architecture;
• Proficient in using data analysis tools, market research platforms, and data visualisation tools;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely;
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
• Native/fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with programming languages commonly used in blockchain development (e.g., Solidity, Python) is a plus;
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management strategies in the context of DeFi investments;
  • Previous experience in traditional finance, investment analysis, or asset management is beneficial.
