Your mission
We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our data team and help us build, maintain, and optimise our data infrastructure. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and systems that ensure the efficient collection, storage, and processing of large datasets. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to support various data initiatives and ensure data quality and reliability across our platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: optimise data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architectures;
  • Data Management: 
    • Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability. 
    • Develop and enforce database management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow across systems;
  • Performance Optimization: 
    • Monitor and tune data systems for performance and scalability.
    • Identify and resolve data bottlenecks, latency issues, and inefficiencies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: 
    • Document data processes, architectures, and data flows.
    • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into data operations and performance.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role;
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database mgmt systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB);
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala);
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing solutions;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a passion for building high-quality software and continuous learning;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams;
  • Native/fluent English speaker;
